Hola Mexico

How is the culture and history of Mexico similar to ours in Wales?

We have carried out our EPIC (Everyone Planning In Class) and the children have chosen to study the following areas:
• the climate, temperature and rainfall of Mexico, and in particular the Chihuahuan Desert
• the plants and animals that thrive in Mexico
• festivals like Day of the Dead and Independence Day
• traditional games and sports, like Ballgame
• history of the Mayans

Children will need to wear a PE kit to school every Tuesday. Mrs J Davies and Mr S Oram both have their planning time on a Friday.

Next half term we will be finding out about artists who pushed the boundaries, like Damien Hirst, Banksy and the Impressionists.
