Scrumdiddlyumptious We’re going to enjoy a yummy journey of discovery, sampling fantastic fruits and tantalising treats! Potions Poisonous potions, aromatic brews, vapour or a sticky goo… Welcome to the amazing world of potions! We’ll sort everyday items into solids, liquids and gases. Using our investigation skills we’ll explore capacity and the properties of liquids. We’ll also design fabulous bottles for magical potions. Becoming super scientists, we’ll investigate chemical reactions and states of matter. We’ll research the use of anaesthetic and learn what life was like without it! We’ll write spells with magical, strange or gruesome effects – what ingredients will we use?
The children have HWB usernames and passwords inside their homework books.This account gives them access to Office 365 and a wide range of learning tools. Maths active learn login details are the same as last term. This allows them to access their maths homework online. If you have any problems getting on to these web sites, please let me know. |

Days which PE kit will be needed: |
To start with, we will not be changing the children for PE but a pair of trainers on a Tuesday would be appreciated. If you have a spare pair which could stay in school that would be even better, as sometimes our PE day changes. |
||||
Days homework will be set: |
Active learn homework will usually be set every fortnight on a Friday. The menu of homework activities can be found inside the homework books with details of when it needs to be handed in. |
Days homework is to be handed in: |
Active learn maths homework should be completed by the following Tuesday. |

Any other ways parents can help |
If you have any information or knowledge that you could offer on our topics, please let us know. We would appreciate your support this term with listening to your child read regularly and practising the multiplication tables. In particular: 2, 5, 10, 3 and 4 x table. Telling the time for o'clock, half past, quarter past, quarter two, 5, 10, 20, 25 past and to. Digital time also. Tieing shoe laces is always a tricky one, particularly in school. If you are able to teach and help your child with this important skill, it would be really helpful. |
||||
Any other general reminders |
Your child will need a healthy snack at break time. Please ensure that the appropriate school uniform and footwear is worn. Drinks bottles with name labels. Long hair to be tied up or back. **Please ensure all clothing/shoes/bags are clearly labelled with a name.** |
